Hi, I’m Yenny and I was born and raised in San Diego. I’m primarily interested in statistics and data science, so that sort of explains why I’m not doing BSM. I’m super excited to study abroad in Budapest, and I’ll start my journey abroad on January 17! (Caveat: I’ve never formally blogged before, so please don’t expect anything amazing.)

Let’s see. I grew up in a small town in northern Minnesota which inevitably made me daydream about living in a big, gritty city one day. Claremont was not quite that so this semester, I’ll be in London, doing some psychology and critical ethnography but mostly just not be in Claremont. Cheers! (…Did I use that right or did I make an imbecile of myself? Uhhhhh)

herro. Growing up in sunny, warm Los Angeles and then going to college near sunny, warm Los Angeles made me crave something not-so-sunny and not-so-warm, like a rainy, cold London. Other cravings that will be satisfied this semester include cellular and developmental neuroscience, art history and architecture interests, and of course, b/vlogging everything in between.

Hi there! This is my first time out of the United States, so this experience is a lot of new, exciting things wrapped up in one long trip. I’ve been studying French since my first year of high school and I can’t wait to be able to spit out a whole sentence without relying on English speakers to hook me up with the right word. I am so excited to figure out which French pastry is my favorite – I’ll keep you posted.

To quench my wanderlust, I got out of Claremont. Traveling to a new place and spending one or two weeks is exciting, but ‘living’ at a new place for few months can actually transform you. I look forward spending a smashing (tryin to assimilate) semester at London- grow up a bit and learn some English humor. Warning. I take note of uninteresting observations A LOT.

Many of you probably know me as Harry. However, as I spend time in Havana, I will be Augusto, or in English, Gust. Unlike many of the other bloggers here at notclaremont, my experience abroad will not pertain to my area of study; nonetheless, I hope it will equally enrich me as a person!

I will have the pleasure of playing with the abundance of stray cats and dogs while dancing among the ruins that constitute Athens. I hope that the wart on my foot will not deter me from walking through Europe. I am ironically very scared of Greek Life and hope the sorority girls like me. Also–first semester of all humanities classes! Let’s hope they don’t make a dent in my busy schedule of fun fun fun.
